Agricultural activities generate large amounts of biomass residues. Whilst most crop residues are left in the field to reduce erosion and recycle nutrients back into the soil, some can be used to promote energy without harming the soil.
Agriwaste such as husk from rice, sunflower production and kernel shells from palm oil production can also be used to produce energy whilst reducing disposal costs and pollution.
